Menstrual Hygiene Day – May 28th, 2025

Today, we break the silence around periods — because no girl should miss school or feel ashamed because of her period.
We are proud of our ongoing work: distributing dignity kits, holding menstrual health workshops, and working with grassroots leaders to improve MHM policies across Kenya.
In some counties, 1 in 4 girls still misses school due to lack of sanitary products. That has to change.
If you’re reading this, you’re privileged. Use your voice. Support a girl’s right to manage her period with dignity — not just today, but every day.
“Menstrual health is not just about products — it’s about dignity, equality and women leadership.”

“Menstrual health is not just about products — it’s about dignity, equality and women leadership . Every time we hand a girl a pad, we hand her confidence and a chance to thrive. At Noni Kariuki Foundation, we believe no girl should be held back by her period.”
– Sicily Kariuki, Chairperson.
